If you are having problems getting comments to your posts, please work with the following two functions in Wordpress, both of which can be accessed from the dashboard or from the menus go to Manage :: Awaiting Moderation and select Bulk approve.

The second function adjusts your choice of how discussion options are applied. The screen is too large to capture without scrolling so this is the main part of what you are looking for and this screen is located under Options :: Discussion
